The 2026 Roy Hargrove Jazz Camp is well under way in Dallas, TX 🙌 And they are sounding great! Under the direction of Roy’s first and probably most influential teacher, legendary band director Dean Hill these young musicians are getting a full week of music education the way Roy learned it. From June 1 - 5 Mr. Hill and his team of fellow band directors and teachers are working on sectionals, theory and ensemble work with daily spotlight artist talks to educate and inspire this next generation of musicians - all culminating in a student concert on Friday! The camp and concert are held at Franklin D. Roosevelt High School. Big thanks to the school and their band director Kermit Gray for hosting this year’s camp.
