The Roy Hargrove Live at KNKX EP presents four previously unreleased live tracks recorded with Roy's working quintet at Seattle's KNKX Public Radio in 2009 and 2017. The newly-mastered recordings offer a rare, unfiltered glimpse of Hargrove’s artistry at its most open and personal. Bridging bebop, soul, and groove with effortless authenticity each performance reveals the emotional depth and spontaneity that made Hargrove one of the defining jazz voices of his generation. The collection honors his legacy by showcasing original material never before featured on any of his studio recordings.

ADVANCE SINGLE: The advance single “Top of My Head”, already considered a classic among musicians, captures the unmistakable groove, lyricism, and charisma that defined Roy’s later live performances. A soulful original (and rare vocal feature) never released on any of his studio albums, this track became a fan favorite in his concert sets - a blend of swing, funk, and warmth that embodies his quintet’s telepathic interplay.

“Top of My Head” was released on all major streaming and downloading platforms November 21st, 2025.
